October Snack Schedule

Mr. Potatohead

If your child has not told you, we have a Mr. Potatohead that sits in our room.  Every time we get a complement from an adult in the school building for good behavior, we get to add a piece to Mr. Potatohead. When we get him completely assembled, we get to have a great behavior "party". So far, we have had a popcorn party and and a smarties party--we are working on our third potato!  What an awesome class!!

School Pictures are October 2nd!  We will try to stay as clean as possible until it is our turn for pictures.:)

Potatohead Senses

As we studied apples, we also talked about our senses.  We did a taste test with apples and explored 3 different types of apples with all our senses.  We ended our science unit on senses with a fun art project labeling a Mr. Potatohead with our 5 senses words.

M is for Mustache!

To celebrate M week, we each wore a mustache finger tattoo.  How fun!

Good beginnings!!!!

We are now starting our second full week of school.  I can't believe I've only known your children two weeks!  I am really enjoying my class. 
 This week we are beginning our new reading series, Journeys, and focusing on stories about  family.  We are exploring the alphabet and reviewing familiar stories and nursery rhymes.  We are also concentrating on the correct formation of our names.  Please be practicing this with your child at home if they are still struggling with this.
In math, we are starting our unit on positional words and patterns.

September 4th-Rise and Shine Assembly- 8:30- You are welcome to attend!!
September 6th- fundraiser deadline
September 18th-Mrs. Renfro will be gone for the day.  Please prepare your child:)
